School Meals: Menus and Services

Culinary Diverse Menus

Stock Pot Malden prides itself on providing culturally- and culinarily-appropriate meals that attempt to match the ethnic provenance of a school population with the talents of the relevant Stock Pot Malden chefs.

We strive to match in our menu the taste sensitivity of various groups and try to provide culturally-segmented meals, usually possible on long-term programs covering a high volume of students.

We achieve the diversity of meals by rotating meals across recipes that originate with individual ethnic groups, while maintaining a core appeal for all populations.

  1. USDA reimbursement
    • We can be responsible for providing USDA fully reimbursable meals that meet all required CACFP program guidelines and meal pattern requirements.
  1. Format of meals
    • We can provide and serve bulk portions to be distributed by school staff, or unitized meals that replicate a current vendor’s model so that no major change is needed in the schools’ infrastructure or staffing.
    • We can provide snacks that students will be able to take home at the end of their afterschool program.
  2. Ordering meals, responsibility for wasted meals
    • Short term contracts: Stock Pot Malden invoices for all meals delivered. The school must plan ahead and commit to a number of portions, and absorb the cost of potential waste. We like to have an internal person who can communicate to Stock Pot Malden the number of meals required for each day of the following week.
    • Long-term contracts: we can work with you to fit your requirements as far as estimating of demand, self-order, and absorb at least part of the cost of the potential overage in number of meals.
  3. Serving the meals
